Simple Fix For A Rattling Door In Your House
Thank you! It worked!
How often should you clean the parts?
Excellent video. Was almost gonna give up trying to plunge my out of it and go buy a toilet augur but thought I would try one more time after watching the video. Success never felt so good! Love saving money!
great video thank you so much you should get a good citizen award
You’re a legend, fixed this thing in 3 min
does the spray missing go all over the place or is that just air which you can see ?
thanks!👍I appreciate it.
Worked perfectly. Thanks!
Welcome James!
well, we just put in brand new hardware and it took forever to fill, and now it takes longer? it is rusted well water and an upstairs bathroom though. any tips?
Try watching this video: ruclips.net/video/BlcRg6aLkHI/видео.htmlsi=jMnSvT9GBxBmwvbt
I just got the replacement faucets and am having a hard time turning one of the faucets. One turned fine and the other one is stuck.
You mean removing the handle?
All I can say is WOW. I never thought about that. I don't know about the rest, but my 2nd bathroom is not so easy to get to. Not having to replace the whole thing is amazing. I have replaced them many of times, in all kinds of tight areas over the years, I am pretty handy at 74, however not having to take the water line off is not just a life saver it's a time saver. You would be surprised at how many men dread replacing them. You saved busted knuckles for sure. I changed it in 25 seconds, not bad for 74.
25 seconds is awfully fast Dale! Way to go!
@@MikeKlimek Yeah I don't do much fast anymore LOL, but this was a game changer. I promoted your video on Facebook, and pointed it more to the women. Thanks again Mike.
You get a like just for using "menagerie".
I'll take it! That's pretty funny
No weight on mine. No help
It may be the installer didn't put it on, or it fell off and was thrown away. The weight will solve your problem. You can order something like this: www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-Pulldown-Faucet-Weight-Kit-813189/311598800
Helped my family out a jam. Thank you sir
Awesome!
Thank you very much. Because of your video I can keep my sanity and I also feel a little more smarter now. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate this.
Glad it helped you Greg!
If you hold the handle down for 10 seconds it will flush. Your theory wouldn’t work if it was actually clogged!
Dude bless you
Glad it helped you Gabriella!
Trying your 30 sec fix. I'm up to where I have to lift up the white collar to remove the old fill valve but it won't budge. Any advice?
That's the most difficult part. Try stubby pliers and the head of a hammer to gently tap it.
Plumbing 101 for dummies fix it yourself tips. Wow! And how , That will defiantly save you from calling out an expensive plumber. Thank You. Mr fix it / know how . Nick
Glad it helped you Nick!
Thats a like & subscribed ding, thank you so much.. as a visual learner all i needed to do was make sure the water valves were on which they were, unscrewed the aerator, and wham water pressure.. currently got it sitting in CLR now and I can see the descaling happen in real time, if it doesn't work when I put it back on I'll just go to home hardware and get a new set and do the downstairs as well. THANKS! 😆
Welcome!
Guys make sure to double-check for any gunk under the cap Mike puts to the side (rubber gromet and little metal nipple). Mine had a glob of gunk.
Thanks lol, fixed my issue.
Glad it helped you!
Thanks a lot. We noticed our son's toy missing and toilet clogged. But, hadn't put 2 and 2 together. Your video helped to realise 😅
Hope it all worked out OK!
The hard part is slipping the old collar up on the faulty fill valve. Mine is really stuck! It's hard to grasp, too. I may have to do it the "non-30-second" way. :-(((( Good concept, though. PS This goes really fast if you play the video at 1.5x! Wow!
LOL!
Update: I couldn't move that collar, even with channelocks. I had to slit the collar with a box cutter (and dry the blades inside afterward) to get it off. Then the old valve and tube slipped right off. The rest went just as you demonstrated. Thanks for the idea!
Helped me out big time thank you!
Welcome!
I just unstopped my bathtub drain and didn’t even have to take off the thing above the drain and seal it up. I checked for hair - there wasn’t any. I had already tried Green Gobbler overnight, which didn’t do anything. So, I just tried plunging, and it worked right away. Hurray! I would have been really unhappy if I had called a plumber who would have charged me at least $150.
Way to go Monica!
Mike, thank you so much! After watching your video I was able to figure out that my garage door would not close because there was stuff blocking the sensor! So simple but when you don’t, we’ll you just don’t know 😂
Glad it helped you Christian!
This is what I'm looking for...thank you
Welcome!
This video resembled my garage perfect video
I have a faucet like the last one you showed. The left handle is not loose, but no water comes out of it. Any suggestions for that?
First thing make sure the valve below the sink is fully opened. Next I would remove the supply line where it joins the underside of the faucet, point it in a bucket and turn the water on. If the water comes out of the line, replace the cartridge in the hot side of the faucet. If no water comes out, replace the shut-off valve at the wall.
This video was no help at all
Is your toilet still clogged?
@@MikeKlimek yes
@@mageeknailmahs669 Have you used a good plunger and snake? Any other slow drains in the house?
@@MikeKlimek If I give you my address can you come fix it?
@@mageeknailmahs669 Not sure where you are, but I'm in NV
Excellent demo. Saved me time; no need to search for manuals. No water this morning. The sensor is a pain. Thank you, thank you!
You're welcome! Glad to help you
This was extremely helpful! I was plunging without water in the bowl. Once I added the water, a 2 day clogged problem was fixed in 2 seconds! Thank you Mike!!
Welcome Cherelle!
What if the top doesn’t turn to come off
You might need a little elbow grease while gently ushing downward. Worse case watch this video to replace the valve in under 30 seconds: ruclips.net/video/y6J1cfvQOGg/видео.htmlsi=QsaiwGGeeZFH3GgB
Thanks couldn’t get the nut off the bottom of the old valve, found your video et voila done in 30 secs!
Awesome Steve!
What if your original fill valve isn’t this same brand. Will it still work?
I wouldn't try that. It likely will not work.
MY experience with "done in 30 seconds with NO TOOLS." First, forty-five minutes. Second, tools: trouble light, coping saw, wire cutters, stubby screwdriver, towel, channel locks, choice words I'm not supposed to use, scissors, WD-40, and maybe a couple I missed. Haven't flushed it yet, but I'll do the deed later and try it! Not saying I'm not handy with tools & chores around the house, but my wife's words ALWAYS come back to haunt me, "Honey, why don't you just hire someone who knows what they're doing, and let them fix it!" Love that woman!!!!!
Aww James ! It really can be done that fast. Your wife sounds like she has herself a catch!
We have a situation where there’s a very small one in the basement in the back of the basement and our new 40 gallon in the main area of the basement, the little one needs gone, gonna try to figure it out
2-year-old video helping who are new to this. Thank you very much, solved my problem.
Awesome Ryan!
Hey Mike, Thanks a bunch. Sometimes we take the hardest and most expensive roads to find out the simplest of corrections saved time and $$$$$! Cleaned the sensors, and garage doors working and closed the book for now on a new opener which was not needed.
Awesome Onyx!
Thank you so much ❤️
Welcome Carren!
What if the blinds aren’t going up the entire way? No obstruction in sight, and they go down completely, but only 3/4 up.
Bless your sweet heart. I actually (finally!) got a flush.
Way to go Kimberly!
Thanks, Mike!!
You're welcome Sally!
Great video, thanx alot buddy. Easy as pie saved me a headache!
Glad it helped Dave!
Your method worked perfectly,thanks
You're welcome Winston!
Holy cow! I'm old, cranky and slow but still timed myself at 1 min, 8 seconds. What a time and effort saver. As Mr. Klimek pointed out, why replace the stationary, non-moving parts that are working as intended? Sincerest appreciation!
Glad it helped you David!
Thank you for your video ! It saved me a ton of f money and time ,!
Welcome Sean!
Thank you thank you thank you! Who knew I'd been plunging wrong all these years? Remarkable!
Glad it helped you Peggy!
I have my sensors taped up together and so I have no problem with them....but I just bought a new Wall opener unit and programmed it. But when the door closes it goes right back up. And this cannot be a sensor problem and so I am frustrated not knowing what needs to be done to fix this......
So you installed a new wall button? Is it a universal type or a genuine manufacturers part?
